Introduction to Positive PsychologyThis 1-2 day workshop introduces teachers to the basic concepts in positive psychology, with an emphasis in equipping teachers with the skills to help children become more resilient and optimistic. Teachers will also learn about how to leverage children character strengths, in order for them to put values into action. Finally, teachers will learn how to promote a positive and engaging learning environment, help students build stronger relationships and move them towards achievement in various domains.
3. Resilience and OptimismThis 1-day workshop introduces teachers to the concepts of resilience and optimism, with an emphasis on concrete hands-on strategies they can use to bolster students psychologically. Teachers will learn about how our beliefs can shape the consequences of an event and what thinking traps we often fall into when presented with a situation. They will also learn how to promote optimism in students through processing their self-talk and beliefs about the future.
| 2. Leverage your strengths!This half-day workshop introduces teachers how to tap on character strengths like courage, love and self-regulation to develop children with strong character. Teachers will learn the reasons why it is necessary to focus on tapping student strengths, rather than deficits, to enable them to respond better to challenge and obstacles, discover their areas of engagement and leverage strengths to thrive in both the academic and non-academic areas. |
